1. Buford Pusser - Walking Tall
Sheriff of McNairy County, Tenessee, Buford Pusser walked tall and carried a big stick. He survived 8 shootings and 7 stabbings but was killed in a car accident on his way home from the county fair. His daughter and her friends came upon the accident just moments after it happened.
2. West Memphis Three
Three teen-agers were convicted for the murders of three 8 year old boys in 1994. In 2010, the teens, now men, were released from prison based on new DNA evidence that was discovered 2007. These men are known as the West Memphis Three.

The Miranda warning was established after a 1966 court case in which a man was convicted of rape and his confession was allegedly coerced. Miranda was unaware that he didn't have to say anything to police. Now, everyone who is being arrested, has to be warned of their Miranda rights.

The American Mafia rose to power in 1919 due to the prohibition of alcohol in the United States. The American Mafia as it was, died with John Gotti.
